What is a service?

It’s a routine check-up that assesses the condition of your vehicle.

How often should you service your car?

On average, every six months (or 6,000 miles). Your particular Peugeot model’s handbook will contain recommended service interval information. Or, you can contact us – we’ll be happy to advise you.

What does a car service include?

We carry out a visual check, looking at your Peugeot’s body and wheels, for instance. We’ll also perform manual gearbox, steering and headlight checks, among other things, just to make sure they’re working properly. We’ll inspect engine oil and coolant levels too.

What is checked on a MOT?

Numerous checks are made, including a car’s braking system, seatbelts, windscreen wipers, lights, mirrors, exhaust and fuel system.

What is a MOT?

It’s an annual inspection that evaluates the roadworthiness of your vehicle.

What does a full service include?

It goes into more detail. For example, it involves the removal and rotation of wheels and (where necessary) the replacement of components such as fuel filters (diesel cars) and cabin filters.

Do I need to bring anything for my car’s MOT?

An MOT is mandatory for the vast majority of vehicles that are more than three years old; it establishes whether or not a car meets minimum road safety and environmental standards.

What happens if my car fails an MOT?

Our examiner will provide you with a refusal notification, which will outline faults that will need to be remedied before a re-test can be scheduled.

Can you fail a service?

No. However, we will provide you with details of any issues, highlighting those that require immediate attention.
